Great front desk guys!!!Posted on Google Joseph LeitheadTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had my son's truck towed Monday night to MacLane's. I choose them because we took it there before for a diagnosis and they were extremely friendly and I had an issue with our previous mechanic. They diagnosed an issue with the fuel pump and were going to charge $1,350. I have done several in the past so I purchased a OEM pump and installed with no issues. MacLanes called me on Tuesday and said it's not starting because of the fuel pump. Hard to believe since I just installed a new one and we had zero issue. I was told that would take care of the issue. I had no choose to get it done because I was out of state for business and my son needed his truck work and football. I was told the fee was going to be $1,350. MacLanes said they will get it done and back to us on Wednesday. Wednesday I received a call and was told we need a brand new gas tank since the top was rusted where the ring connects to the fuel pump. I was aware of that and used a OEM ring that gets screwed in. MacLanes said they can do that and would get a new one. I checked and they used the same one that was currently on it. I received a call later in the day Wednesday and was told there is good news and bad news. The good news was the pump was installed and the truck starts up. The bad new it's throwing up new codes now and the engines is miss firing. They will have to run more test for $148 but it won't be until Thursday. I received a call after 10 on Thursday and was told they found the issue and it's the fuel injectors. Cost will be $1,900 but would not be done until Friday. They could not guarantee that the fix will clear the codes. I told them I would do it myself because I am not going to keep putting more into the truck if that fix does not work. All said and done I am extremely disappointed and feel that the fuel pump replacement was a waste of my money because it was already done and didn't solve any of the issues. Every call was another issue and at what point would they really find the issue and get it fixed. Also, the people I talked to over the phone could not explain the issues and said they would need to speak to the techs. Maybe have the techs calling or someone that can explain the issues clearly. I would never recommend them or bring my vehicles there again.Posted on Google Adroit ArtistTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Recently took my cruze to this place as a 1st time customer and was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly , easy to talk to people right of the bat (Jared is cool ppl) plus knowledgeable. Fixed some issues I had going on, did an oil change (and didn’t forget to reset the meter in the car, big thankyou on that one. Minor thing to reset it yeah I know but major thing to me). It shows detailed work that other places just don’t do. And found the rattle noise when other places could not. Also mostly got rid of a smell I’ve been dealing with since I got the car, not fully gone as I suspect it’s perhaps an AC issue but that wasn’t serviced or even disclosed to them but I’d say it’s 80-90% gone now and wasn’t an issue I told them about whatsoever. Pretty awesome stuff. All in all I’d give them 10/10, highly recommend them. I’ll be going back.Posted on Google Richard DemarseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Maclane’s strikes again- I used that to get your attention. I always have and will continue to use and refer Maclane’s to anybody looking for a great shop. I put my truck in for routine service and oil change. When they called me and told me it was done they informed me there was a small nick in my front brow tint. They were so apologetic thinking they did it, they did not. It was there when I bought it. The honestly and pride everyone takes there is off the charts. Thank you to all who work there and make Maclane’s the shop to beat! Strong work!Posted on Google Logan ThomsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Most cars and trucks kind of do better with tire rotation every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, depending on how you drive plus the vehicle type. Doing it regularly helps spread out tread wear more evenly, keeps steering and grip more steady, and basically stretches the tires overall life.
At Maclane’s Automotive, we usually tell people to line up tire rotation with routine maintenance. If you stay consistent, you can sidestep lopsided wear, and you wont end up replacing tires too early.
Keeping repair costs reasonable really starts with smart diagnostics. Some shops skip the careful step of figuring out what’s going on, but if they take time to pinpoint the real cause it helps stop unnecessary part swaps and those annoying return visits. And yeah, over time, that stuff adds up.
At Maclane’s Automotive, we focus on accuracy and solutions that last. When you fix the root problem the first time, it can help you save money and avoid the same issue coming back again.
Sure, big transmission repair companies might be familiar to you, but they don’t always deliver the most custom or precise service. The small details, plus accurate diagnostics, often matter more than brand names alone.
At Maclane’s Automotive, we aim for honest recommendations and repairs that fit your specific vehicle. Our intent is to offer dependable service that matches what your car actually needs.
A typical oil change means draining the old engine oil, swapping in fresh oil, installing a new filter, and checking important components along the way. It supports proper lubrication and helps reduce strain on internal engine parts. At Maclane’s Automotive, we follow the manufacturer’s guidance so your engine stays protected. Routine oil changes are a big part of keeping performance up, and keeping reliability steady.
A car battery that is charged the right way usually shows about 12.6 volts when the engine is off . Then when the engine is running , that reading should climb to somewhere around 13.7 up to 14.7 volts, since the alternator is charging everything in the background.
At Maclane’s Automotive , we check the battery as well as the charging system, so nothing is left out and so it all works as it should. Keeping an eye on the voltage helps dodge surprise breakdowns and it also keeps your ride reliable.
